At Farmers Telecommunications Cooperative we believe that by investing in the further education of our youth, we are enriching not only the lives of families in our service area, but we are strengthening the foundation of our cooperative for years to come.
FTC SCHOLARSHIP
FTC offers two $1,500 scholarships each year to help assist area students with college expenses.
One scholarship will be given to a deserving high school senior, the other to a student enrolled in college. Recipients must be an FTC member, or the dependent of a member.
Ask your guidance counselor for an application or visit www.farmerstel.com to download one. All applications must be received no later than 4 p.m. on March 15.
FRS SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarships are also available through the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS). FRS awards 30 scholarships worth $2,000 to high school seniors across the nation. If a senior from the FTC service area is selected, FTC will contribute an additional $500, bringing the scholarship total to $2,500.
Applicants should note that preference will be given to students who plan to return to a rural community to work after graduating. Completed applications must be received no later than 4 p.m. on February 22.
