Nov/Dec 2009 Townson elected as AMTA officer
![]() A Farmers Telecommunications Cooperative staff member has been elected to office of the Alabama-Mississippi Telecommunications Association. Chris Townson, Manager of Industry Relations & Government Affairs for FTC, was elected Third Vice President of the regional association at its annual convention in October. In this voluntary position, Townson will help the group pursue programs and legislation beneficial to the customers of independent telecom companies. He is in line to serve as association president in three years. "It's an honor to be elected by my peers to serve in this capacity," says Townson, who has served on AMTA's board of directors for one year. "I look forward to working with them to protect the interests of all our customers in the southeast." |
